There is something depressing about seeing something that was once a shining star become a dilapidated building that is now nothing more than an eyesore.
The Howard Johnson’s in Saugerties, which served many Ulster County residents and people traveling through Ulster County for decades, has now reopened.
They’ve got things like the turkey wrap, pastrami reuben, adult grilled cheese, the meat mountain, and the bacon, avocado, spinach and tomato sandwich.
It’s always sad to see a favorite restaurant close, as was the case with Bella Luna, but it’s great news when a new place comes in to take over an otherwise empty spot.
