Nominate a Hudson Valley child for the Music Matters program

Many children don't have the opportunity to learn an instrument or experience the innumerable benefits of a musical education. We want your help to make a difference in the lives of children in need in the Hudson Valley.

The first WPDH Music Matters benefit concert is coming up this Friday, April 28, from 8pm – 10pm at Quinnz Pinz, 13-19 Railroad Avenue in Middletown.  And what a fun night it is going to be.  One of the Hudson Valley’s favorite bands, The Hype will be playing, food and drinks will be served, and bowling balls will be flying, Admission is free with a donation to the Music Matters program... You might recall that last year WPDH kicked off a great program called Music Matters. Wouldn’t it be great if every child had the opportunity to not only listen to music, but to also get a musical education?  That is the goal of of the Music Matters program...

Children deserve to pursue a musical education. For many Hudson Valley families, the cost of an instrument proves a barrier to entry. The Music Matters program breaks through that barrier.

We here at WPDH know that our listeners recognize the importance of music.  We are well aware that it is because of you, our listeners, that we have been rocking in the Hudson Valley for 40 years.  It's not just about the music either...

I have seen first hand how playing an instrument can change a life. Even save a life. Much like a sports program might save an athletic but wayward kid's life..  That's why I am so supportive of a new program right here in the Hudson Valley called Music Matters.
