There is something very cool about seeing your hometown on television. It’s even more exciting when you get to see places you’ve been and landmarks you’ve passed a million times.

So many businesses and whole industries have been hurt by the covid pandemic, and one of those is the music industry.

For me, the official start of the holiday season is the day of the Celebration of Lights in the City of Poughkeepsie, and it's this Friday, Dec. 6.

The the 24th annual Poughkeepsie City Celebration of Lights Parade and Fireworks is on Friday, December 1 at 6:30 pm.
