After a muggy Sunday, and some nasty downpours, a nice start to the week. The humidity levels have dropped and look for plenty of sunshine. Temperatures will hover in the upper 70’s and low 80’s for most of the week. Monday, you’ll even see a slight breeze. Wednesday we could see some showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon, as a warm front comes in. This front will be the trigger for warmer weather.

The long-range forecast is looking at a heatwave for Friday and the weekend. Meteorologists say, this could the start of a heatwave that could last into the July 4, holiday.

Here’s the latest forecast from the National Weather Service:

Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 79.

Monday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 48.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 80.

Wednesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 83. A chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon.

Heatwave begins Friday.
