You've got to wonder who would ever fall for a scam like this but maybe the person was willing to take a chance in the crazy event that they were actually texting back and forth with Bruce Springsteen.
According to the Asbury Park Press, a scammer texted a random person under the guise of Bruce Springsteen and asked for just over a thousand dollars to help with some gold investments in Dubai. Much to the victim's surprise, it wasn't actually Bruce Springsteen. Springsteen's Broadway show has grossed over a million dollars so far. It's safe to say The Boss doesn't need your money.
If you get a text from Bruce Springsteen asking for cash, please do some due diligence before sending him some money.
