“Rainy days and Monday’s always get me down,” is how the song goes.  If you were around in the 70’s, you’ll remember that song from the Carpenters.   Don’t get down, but the word showers and rain stay in the forecast for the entire week.

If you noticed, its muggy out.  A warm and humid air mass continues to dominate our weather.  It will do so for much of the week.  We have some weak disturbances moving through the Hudson Valley area that will touch off showers and thunderstorms.  We could see some heavy rain or downpours from these storms.  Later in the week, another cold front will be more storms.

Unsettled weather for a while here in the Hudson Valley.

Here’s the latest weather forecast from the National Weather Service:

Monday:  Showers and a possible thunderstorm, high near 82.  Some storms could produce heavy rain.

Monday night:  A chance of showers and thunderstorms, low around 72.  Once again, these storms could produce heavy rain.

Tuesday:  Mostly cloudy, high near 85.  A chance of shower and thunderstorms in the afternoon.

Wednesday:  Mostly cloudy, high around 81.  A chance of showers and thunderstorms.
