On Wednesday, Jan 22, Hoagie Barmichales in New Windsor announced they were closing for an unknown amount of time.

“Good morning,” Hoagie Barmichales wrote on Facebook. “Due to an insurance inspection, we will be closed until repairs can be completed. We apologize for any inconvenience!”

The next day, the popular Orange County bar posted a similar message

“Good Afternoon,” staff wrote on Facebook “Due to an insurance inspection we will be closed until repairs can be completed. We apologize for any inconvenience.”

Officials didn’t go into more details about the insurance inspection, repairs, reason for the closure, or how long the bar would remain closed.

A number of days past, including the weekend of Jan. 25, and the bar remained closed without officials providing any update.

Then on Tuesday, officials announced the business was reopening.

“We are OPEN and ready to serve you,” Hoagie Barmichales said. “ Thank you for your patience while we were closed. Come on down! We’ve missed you!!!”
