New Brewery Coming to the Hudson Valley

A new brewery coming to the Hudson Valley will replace the William J. Jenack Estate Appraisers & Auctioneers Auction House.

The auction house, located at 62 Kings Highway Bypass in Chester, will hold its final auction on May 5th and will be replaced by a new brewery called Tin Barn Brewing, which is set to open in October of this year, according to the Times Herald Record.

Owners William and Andrea Jenack have been holding auctions at the auction house every 3 weeks for many years. Andrea told the Record that, “It’s like a party every three weeks on auction days, it’s like a meeting place.”

Most in the community are sad to see the Jenack family business closing including Chester Supervisor Robert Valentine, who told the Record that "the town will miss the Jenacks’ business. They run a great operation, it’s a real loss for the community, but I’m sure the Jenacks are at a point where it’s time to relax.”

As for the future brewery, the new co-owners are a father and daughter team, Dale and Lauren Van Pamelen. They take over the space around the middle of May and hope to be open by October.

The $2.7 million Tin Barn Brewery will have an open floor plan, 1,000-square-foot eating area, an 800-square-foot kitchen, and a 6,500-square-foot tasting room with beer and New York made wine, cider and more, according to the Record. The new menu will likely have a bunch of shareable food made with fresh Hudson Valley ingredients.
