Kingston Road Closed Due to Attempted Theft

Just before 2 PM today the Kingston Police Department posted to their Facebook page information regarding Wilbur Avenue between West O'Reilly Street and Abeel Street as an area under investigation. They are asking you to avoid the area until further notice. .

According to the post the Kingston Police Department is investigating the attempted theft of an excavator. They asking you to avoid Wilbur Avenue between West O'Reilly Street and Abeel Street while they look into the attempted theft of an excavator which lead to the machine falling down a slope above Wilbur Avenue.

They are also asking anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the machine falling or with information about the attempted theft contact the Kingston Police Department by calling 845-331-1671.

Wilbur Avenue will be closed in order to recover the machines and the Kingston Police Department will notify the public when the road reopens.
