Living in the Hudson Valley, we're spoiled by views of the Shawangunk Mountains year round and rolling green hills in the spring and summer months. In the fall, the beauty of the foliage makes visitors travel from different states to experience it.

How Can You See Dog Statues And Gost Doors In The Hudson Valley?
I've visited certain areas that have had handmade pieces of art, statues and sculptures on display in the Hudson Valley.
In Ulster County, NY I once noticed butterfly statues in the Saugerties area. Last year, Saugerties had groovy, art buses on display highlighting the 1969 Woodstock Music Festival. Although it;'s unknown if the groovy buses will return in the area, a social media post highlights something new for 2025.
The Saugerties Chamber of Commerce made a post on social media about a new art display in the area. They included,
“The artists have put the finishing touches on their dogs in time for the FREE "Barkin' Around Saugerties" preview taking place at the Stone Pony on May 18 starting at 3pm.”
Guests are encouraged to join this event.
Also in Ulster County, NY I noticed painted doors all throughout a hamlet. In the Gardiner area, there were gost doors on display. Each door was unique and made me want to get out to take pictures of it or even use it as a photo opp.
The gost doors were on display in early May 2025. GOST artists come together to share their artwork in the Hudson Valley area and helped create these doors. Even though, they are taken down for the season, be sure to follow their social media platforms to see when they will put them on display again.
How Can You See Painted Trotters And Cat Statues In The Hudson Valley?
In Greene County, NY I saw cat statues on display. I remember running around the Catskill area, excited to take pictures with these locally designed cat statues.
Cat'n Around Catskill made posts on their Facebook page about their cat statues that will be on display this year. Each one is located in the Catskill area and was made by a local artist. More information about these unique statues can be found with Cat'n Around Catskill's Facebook.
In Orange County, NY guests can see painted trotters outside of local businesses and also at homes of residents.
Unlike other counties, Goshen, NY's handmade trotters stay up year round and highlight the history of the Goshen area which is known for its Goshen Historic Track.
