First Look At The New York State Museum’s ‘Prehistoric Adventure’ Exhibit

This is something that all ages can experience at a popular museum in New York State.

What Can We See At The New York State Museum In 2026?

I had such a great time visiting the New York State Museum in Albany. There is something for everyone to experience on site. I was there when they had the pop up Barbie exhibit which was neat to see. I also enjoyed learning about New York City, the Adirondacks and of course, the Hudson Valley too. 

The New York State Museum has a carousel to ride on as well in addition to places to get something to eat and a gift shop. There’s a new exhibit that we can also explore at this museum this year.

The New York State Museum made an exciting post on social media. They shared that there's a new exhibit that we can check out. Their post highlighted,

“#NowOpen! Expedition Dinosaur: Rise of the Mammals brings towering, life-size animatronic dinosaurs to life with roaring sounds, realistic movement, and unforgettable encounters with creatures like Ankylosaurus, Torosaurus, Edmontosaurus, and more! “

The New York State Museum also included that we can,

“Travel through the final days of the dinosaurs and experience the epic extinction event that changed Earth forever in this thrilling prehistoric adventure for all ages.”

The best part about this experience is that it’s free and will be open to the public until January 3, 2027 It’s located on the fourth floor at the New York State Museum in Albany.

After our exciting trip to the New York State Museum, be sure to stay in the area and enjoy yourself even more! You can see the historic landmark, the New York State Capital and the Empire State Plaza which sounds like so much fun.

The MVP Arena is also near the New York State Museum which hosts different events and concerts. Washington Park is a place where outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers can enjoy the beauty of Albany.
