A Hudson Valley woman shared her experience with what she claims was a UFO in Dutchess County.

The story is similar to several reported experiences from the 80s and 90s.

The Hudson Valley: Hot Bed For UFO Sightings Since the 80s

Many consider the Hudson Valley to be Area 51 of the East Coast. Pine Bush, New York has notably taken claim to UFO and alien sightings as they are the home to the UFO and Paranormal Museum and Aaron Rogers famously had a UFO experience in Orange County back in the early 2000s.

There was even a documentary on Discovery + dedicated to all of the UFO sightings in the area called Alien Invasion: Hudson Valley that aired in 2021.

One of the most popular Hudson Valley UFO sighting stories was from the late 80s. Between Fishkill, New York in Dutchess County, and Danbury, CT along I-84 several people reported a UFO flying over the area to 9-1-1.

Take a look at a timeline of the events and reports below:

CT Got on the UFO Map in 1987 When 200 People Reported Something Strange in the Sky

In the 1980's, New York's Hudson Valley was a magnet for UFOs. I should rephrase for the non-believers, the Hudson Valley was home to thousands of reports of unidentified flying objects. This trend wasn't just taking place in New York, Connecticut also had it's fair share of incidents with the most notable coming in 1987. What you're about to read really happened here in CT and it terrified hundreds of people who were left wondering what they had seen.

Keep that in mind as we get into the most recent Hudson Valley UFO sighting.

Dutchess County Woman Shares Possible UFO Sighting from Fishkill, NY

A local woman took to the Dutchess County Mom's Group to ask other moms if they saw what she just saw while driving on the Taconic State Parkway.

She writes "Ummmm ok- call me crazy but did anyone see the UFO tonight at 8:12 pm over the Taconic at the Fishkill exit?!?!?!?"

Other moms checked in asking if it was Starlink or Military planes, which would all make sense considering we have Stewart Air National Guard Base nearby and Starlink has passed over a time or 2.

The woman, who we'll call Brianna, clarified that's not what she saw adding more details to what she saw, writing "two large yellow/white lights were very bright facing southbound, probably 125 ft in the sky."

She said it caught her eye because she "was worried it was a low-flying plane, but then the object became still." Here's what else Brianna witnessed:

Slowly moved west, went over the taconic and was still again. At this point it turned while being still- then continued west. I was able to see the under side of the object. There were 4 yellow/white lights on all 4 sides (appeared to be a square shape on the bottom). There also appeared to be smaller red lights on the bottom.
Brianna tells us she did try to record the encounter. But something strange happened during the recording: "I hit the record button on my iPhone, then stuck my phone out of my sunroof, and then brought my phone back into my car and filmed it from inside. Then once I couldn’t see it anymore I hit the record button to stop and put my phone down (I was driving). Then I went to view the video and it only recorded for 1 second."

Strange Light Spotted Streaking Across New York State in September 2024

Many are suggesting the recent UFO sighting in Fishkill might be Elon Musk's Starlink. While we haven't heard of any Starlink sightings on that day at that time, there have been many sightings in the past.

The Hudson Valley has also had a front-row seat to a rocket launch earlier last month.

On September 9th, 2024, social media was abuzz with talks of a bright light streaming across the Hudson Valley skies.

You don't see something like that every day! If you didn't know any better, you'd think it was some UFO or Alien ship, and rightfully so. However, after the vessel crossed the sky, reports showed it was a SpaceX Falcon 9 Rocket launch.

The rocket launched from Florida and those on board were part of the Polaris Dawn Mission with the Dragon Resilience capsule. The crew on board's mission was to "perform the first-ever SpaceX spacewalk."

With all of that being said, New York is one of the top cities for UFO sightings in the US. Have you seen one?
