The Summer of 2023 was a good one in the Hudson Valley. We blinked and the summer officially came to an end.

We learned that one of the biggest signs summer is over in the Hudson Valley is the week of the Dutchess County Fair at the end of August. This year, the 177th Dutchess County Fair kicked off on August 22nd and ran through August 27th for the 2023 season signaling the end of summer but not before thousands of guests can explore the fairgrounds.

According to a press release,  the 2023 Dutchess County Fair was a hit!

Dutchess County Fair Brings in Over 200,000 Guests in 2023

An astounding 280,443 guests made their way to the fairgrounds in Rhinebeck and enjoyed everything from animals and agriculture to entertainment, food, and, of course, fun.

President/CEO of the fairgrounds Andy Imperati said in a press release that the Board of Directors was "very pleased with year's fair" adding:

The dedication of fairgoers, staff, volunteers, vendors, livestock exhibitors, competitors, safety and security partners and so many others who go above and beyond are what makes us the summer's most anticipated event. It's an absolute pleasure for our team to bring the Dutchess County Fair to the community every year. We look forward to seeing everyone again in 2024.

The Dutchess County Fair also announced next year's fair date. Keep  August 20 - 25, 2024 open for the 178th Dutchess County Fair. We'll see you there!
