What was that soaring through the sky on the morning of Tuesday, September 10th, 2024?

Did you see what we saw?

Strange Object Soars Across Hudson Valley Skies

Early morning risers were left scratching their heads after seeing what looked like a UFO soar across the Hudson Valley skies.

Facebook was buzzing with photos and videos of a strange bright light floating through the sky effortlessly around 5 am on Tuesday morning September 10th, 2024. The first video to pop up on my timeline was captured by Jeremy Patton in Cape May, New Jersey around 5 am:

Colleen Gorman was driving on Route 9 in Fishkill, New York near Walmart when she saw the light across the sky.

At 5:31 am Neil Zimbaldi of Marlboro, New York captured this video on his home security camera:

Wild, right?

So is it actually a UFO? Did the aliens just do a Hudson Valley fly-by?

What Was The Strange Object Flying Across NY Skies?

I love a good UFO sighting story, but sadly it looks like this one was debunked. However, what we did see is pretty historic.

According to CNBC, it was a SpaceX Falcon 9 Rocket that we saw in the sky early Tuesday morning that launched from Florida. Those on board are part of the Polaris Dawn Mission with the Dragon Resilience capsule and their mission is to be the crew to "perform the first-ever SpaceX spacewalk."

CNBC explains writing "Extravehicular activities, or EVAs, have been a regular part of government astronauts missions but no private venture has attempted an EVA before. The EVA is expected to last two hours long from start to finish."

Along with the spacewalk, Polaris Dawn is scheduled to conduct "about 60 science and research experiments" while on the mission.

Did you capture a photo or video of the rocket over your hometown? We'd love to see it! email it to Jess@HudsonValleyCountry.com and we'll add it to this article.
