Coach of the Year

Gleason, who turned 41 last Friday, took the head coaching position at Siena in 2018. He led the "Saints" for seven seasons and was named the 2025 MAAC conference coach of the year.

Siena President Chuck Seifert released a statement following Gleason's passing, saying,

"A sudden, senseless loss carries a kind of pain that defies understanding. It’s hard to imagine anyone more universally loved and admired than Liam. Our community was blessed by Coach Gleason’s life."

Gleason is survived by his parents, Kevin and Susan, brother Brendan, wife Jaclyn, and their three children.

A funeral service for Gleason will be held on Saturday, December 6th, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the UHY Center in Loudonville, New York.
