Seriously it's a thing. Many Halloween enthusiasts believe that it's perfectly acceptable to start celebrating the spooky holiday after July 4th. According to the experts, it's since July 4th is the last commercialized holiday until Halloween.

So I guess, with that being said, it's safe to talk about the return of all the amazing haunted attractions across the Hudson Valley.
Kevin McCurdy's Haunted Mansion Prepares for 48th Haunting Season
One of the most popular haunts during Hudson Valley Spooky Season is Kevin McCurdy's Haunted Mansion in Wappingers Falls, New York.
The Dutchess County attraction is preparing for its 48th scaring season, can you believe it!?
This year Kevin McCurdy's Haunted Mansion is bringing the haunted Seville Theater to life. According to McCurdy, the story goes that "The old Seville theater has been closed for over 75 years. After its murderous past, the theater has been abandoned."
And of course, they give a little taste of the spooky background writing:
Some say it’s Haunted by the spirit of a malicious and possessed ventriloquist dummy. “Sammy “the puppet has resurfaced recently. Sightings of him in the Old theater, along with disappearances of urban explorers, have led to new rumors.
The special effects team is hard at work already crafting what looks to be the star of the show, Sammy:
