
Body Discovered in a Creek in Ulster County
New York State Police have discovered the body of a man in a creek in Saugerties, New York.
The New York State Police (NYSP) have announced that troopers out of Kingston, NY, have located the body of a 58-year-old man that was found in the Plattekill Creek in the Town of Saugerties.
Body Found in Water in Saugerties, New York
According to a NYSP press release, troopers responded to a call of a reported person located in the Plattekill Creek near Park Circle in the town of Saugerties, NY, on Sunday at approximately 12:14 p.m.
Police said that their preliminary investigation has indicated that nearby residents had observed a body in the creek and contacted first responders for help. As they arrived on the scene, members from the Mount Marion Fire Department retrieved the body from the water.
Man's Body Recovered and Identified
Police said that the victim, "who exhibited obvious signs of death", was later identified as 58-year-old Stanley Christopher Waldron of Saugerties, NY. Sadly, authorities pronounced Waldron deceased at the scene.

Police didn't share much more information about what Waldron might have been doing in or near the creek or if he was reported missing before being located in the water, but they did say that there were no signs of foul play.
