This is The Best Bar in New York State
Out of the thousands of bars scattered across New York, one area bar has been named the best in the nation and it's NOT located in New York City!
Living in New York has its good and bad things. Bad things would include traffic, taxes, high rents, and more but instead of focusing on the bad let's focus on the good. One thing many of us New Yorkers love about living here is that we are surrounded by variety. From food and shopping to finding a place to grab a drink New York State is full of a variety of great places to choose from.
Best Bars in the U.S.
No matter where you live in New York the odds say that you have a favorite place to meet for drinks with friends. Almost every town has a local "watering hole" and in an effort to name some of the best bars across the nation the folks at USA Today have released its inaugural list of the 27 "Best Bars of the Year".
The list, which was compiled by various food writers from across the nation looked at a mix of old, new, and in-between bars including neighborhood taverns, the finest cocktail meccas, the coziest wine bars, and the beachiest beach bars. It doesn't feature the places you would find on your "average roundup of best bars", it features bars with unique stories to tell according to Lohud.

Westchester County's Saints and Scholars at 790 McLean Ave, Yonkers, NY has officially been named one of New York's best bars in the U.S. From the outside the bar, which opened in 2018 looks like a typical Irish Bar you'd see in towns all over the U.S., but inside is where it sets itself apart from everyone else with its unexpected décor. It has floral wallpaper, a black and white checkered floor, disco balls, chandeliers, and a "vibrant atmosphere that changes from sedate to sultry as the night goes on" according to the Journal News.

The bar offers a unique cocktail menu that features drinks like the "Porn Star Martini" made with French vanilla vodka, passion fruit nectar, vanilla, and simple syrup that's served on a silver tray featuring a shot of champagne. The drink menu changes with each season and can be served in jumbo glasses that can serve a party of four or in a miniature bathtub glass, complete with a rubber ducky.
