A former Hudson Valley day care assistant teacher who plead guilty to molesting a 4-year-old at the day care center where he worked will serve jail time.

According to the Westchester District Attorney’s Office, 24-year-old Isaac McKnight, of New Rochelle was working as a part-time assistant teacher at a day care center in Tuckahoe when he sexually assaulted a 4-year-old at the center on November 5, 2015.

A joint investigation by the Village of Tuckahoe police and the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office resulted in McKnight’s arrest on Nov. 12, 2015.

Tuesday in Westchester County Court, McKnight was sentenced to 12 years in prions for pleading guilty to one count of 1st-degree criminal sex act, a class B violent felony.

Along with the prison sentence, McKnight will undergo fifteen years post-release supervision and must register as a sex offender.
