How to Get You and Your Friends Into the Empire State Balloon Festival For Free
Raise your hand if you've ever pulled your car over to watch a hot air balloon as it flew overhead. How many times have you grabbed your phone to get a picture of balloons in the sky to post to your Facebook or Instagram feed? If you think hot air balloons are cool, bad pun I know, then have we got an opportunity for you.
The Empire State Balloon Festival is coming to Barton Orchards in Poughquag July 6-July 8. There will be so many things to see and experience throughout the weekend including the Bubble Bus, racing pigs, live music from over 15 live bands, Petting zoo, Gem Mining & Duck Races, the Dog Park, the Inflatable Play Area, and so much more
The gates open at 11 am each day and there will be tons of food trucks and vendors, with Beer Sampling on Saturday, and Craft Soda Sampling on Sunday. And of course, the balloons.
Balloon launches are scheduled for Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday morning & evenings with Balloon Glows scheduled for Friday and Saturday night. and you could be an integral part of getting the balloons in the air.
The Empire State Balloon Festival is looking for volunteers to help out either all weekend long or on a day-by-day basis. If you are an early-bird then think about volunteering for the morning launches starting at 5 am, if the afternoon is more your speed then volunteer to be there at 5 pm each day.
Not only will you see some amazing sights as the balloons lift off, but you will also receive free admission tickets for your family and friends. How many you get depends on how many days and times you can volunteer. If you volunteer all weekend long, you'll also get food and drink for the entire event.
