Social media helped local police find a missing Dutchess County teen.

On Thursday, a New York State trooper on patrol in the Village of Rhinebeck was approached by two Rhinebeck men who recognized Dakia Andrew from missing posts on social media.

The two unidentified Good Samaritans led police to the 14-year-old runaway. Andrew has since been reunited with his family. No other information was released about his condition.

Andrew, 14, from Beekman, was reported missing on Jan. 15. The boy was believed to be a runaway who was likely staying with friends in the Dutchess County area.

Prior to the help in Rhinebck, State Police tirelessly checked several locations in hopes of finding the missing teen.

State Police thanked all members of the public who assisted with this investigation.

In related news, police are still looking for Lawrence Molinaro. The 76-year-old from Sullivan County was lasted seen on Dec. 27.  It’s believed he could be anywhere in the Hudson Valley or the Tri-State area.
