Steve Perry is best known as former lead singer of Journey. He was with the band from 1977-1987 (their most commercially successful period) and then again from 1995-1998. He also had a successful solo career from the mid 1980's to mid 1990's. Rolling Stone magazine ranked Perry No. 76 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 100 Greatest Singers of All Time. Journey's 1981 album Escape was the band's eighth, and most successful album reaching No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The single "Don't Stop Believin'" was one of the Journey's biggest hits, becoming the top selling song in iTunes history in 2009, amongst songs not released in the 21st century.

A new Steve Perry solo album is reportedly due out in 2016.
