If you’re been tired of mowing your lawn and waiting for colder weather, then it’s finally here. Overnight, the temps are supposed to drop below the freezing point.  The Hudson Valley will experience it’s first frost of the season.  In the higher elevations of the Catskills, temps will be dropping into the upper 20’s.

The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning from Wednesday night at Midnight to 9am Thursday morning.  The warning goes for the Hudson River Valley from the Poughkeepsie area north through the Capital District including the Saratoga and Glens Falls areas, and for Washington and southern Litchfield counties.

One of the big things to watch out for tonight is crops and other sensitive vegetation.  This frost will mark the end of the growing season.  People with plants, like this time of year mums, should bring those inside to avoid the cold temperatures.  These conditions will kill crops and vegetation.
