Watch 75 Movie Bands ‘Play’ Def Leppard’s ‘Pour Some Sugar on Me’
Def Leppard's "Pour Some Sugar on Me" is a rock 'n' roll masterpiece of riffs, arrangement and production — and yet despite its inarguable classic status, it's somehow been featured in only a handful of movie soundtracks over the past 30 years.
It's a problem we've all obviously observed, but only one person has done something about it: Video editor Robert Jones, who put his splicing skills to the test in order to assemble a clip that magically unites 75 movie bands in one massive performance of "Pour Some Sugar on Me."
From Back to the Future's Marty McFly to the Blues Brothers and everything in between, dozens of Hollywood's most talented fictional characters (along with a few real-life rock stars) have been brought together to beg for sugar. Even J.K. Simmons' terrifying jazz band leader from Whiplash is here, so you know it's a serious jam.

For fans of the band, it's a long-overdue honor befitting the song that soared all the way to No. 2 on Billboard's Hot 100 in the summer of 1988 — held out of the top spot only by Richard Marx's "Hold On to the Night."
For Jones, it's just the latest in an ongoing series of movie-inspired mashups, all of which you can watch at his YouTube channel. Check out the second installment of Jones' '80s movie dancing marathon below, and visit his Facebook page for updates on more of his work.
