Sunday, June 17, is Father's Day.

Father's Day is right around the corner...did you forget? If so, have no fear, I am here...with gift ideas! I don't know about you, but I always struggle with things to get my dad for Father's Day. What do you get the man who gave you everything, but already has everything? It's a tricky thing to do. Thankfully, the Hudson Valley offers some really cool gifts that support local businesses.

1. Golf Gift Certificate
If your dad is a golfer, this is perfect. The Hudson Valley has a bunch of beautiful, well-kept golf courses. My dad loves to golf, so I got him a gift certificate for a golf course in the local area. Or even a gift certificate to a driving range will work if a full 18-holes is out of your budget.

2. Local Liquor
The Hudson Valley has so many award-winning distilleries. Enhance your father's drinking experience with locally made bourbon, gin, vodka, or any other kind of spirit. Maybe even take him on a trip to a distillery while you're at it.

3. Shooting/Archery Lessons
I was able to do some archery lessons this May at Northern Dutchess Archery and I had a BLAST, so any dad is sure to love it. Whether he is a practiced archer or a novice, it's super fun to shoot stuff! Archery isn't his thing? Take him for lessons at a local shooting range.

4. Brewery Tour
So maybe liquor isn't for your dad, but he loves beer? No problem. The Hudson Valley is filled with amazing craft breweries. Take a dad-and-me brewery tour to multiple breweries, or just spend the day at one. Get some brewery gear while you're there too.

5. Sky-Diving
First off, make sure this is something your dad would be into. It's pretty expensive to sky-dive, so you don't want to waste your money if he won't go. But if he is a thrill seeker, there is no better thrill than sky-diving. It's an unforgettable experience that he'll love.
