Just last week we shared news that Troop K of the New York State Police had arrested 31 people for driving under the influence during a 4 day span.

We also shared ways to get home safely after a night of drinking and celebrating the holidays, whether it be Uber, Lyft or even local cab company.

It looks like some more folks missed the memo.

According to a press release from the New York State Police, the Troopers of Troop K once again were very busy removing 28 impaired drivers over the Christmas holiday weekend.

On December 19th it was announced that the New York State Police would take part in the "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" campaign with DWI sobriety points set up throughout the state.

Troopers were out, and will continue to be out until after the New Year, in marked and unmarked vehicles identify impaired drivers, those on handheld devises, not wearing seat belts and those not following the "Move Over" law.
