Now you can order a drink Sunday mornings in the state of New York

The Times Union reports that Governor Andrew Cuomo agreed with legislatures to allow the sale of alcohol at bars and restaurants beginning at 10 a.m. That is two hours earlier than currently allowed.

Some, within the restaurant industry, had actually pushed for 8 a.m.

The agreement does state however that bars and restaurants outside New York City will be able to apply for twelve permits per year to begin serving booze at 8 a.m.

There are some other changes coming to New York state's alcohol laws, including modifications to make business easier for craft alcohol manufacturers and sellers. New York state wineries will also now be allowed to sell growlers of their product and allow customers to take home partially finished bottles of wine.

Drink up!
