Another popular supermarket chain in the Hudson Valley has recalled products because of possible salmonella contamination.

Hannaford Supermarkets has announced that they are voluntarily removing products from their shelves due to the treat of salmonella contamination. They are removing two Aurora Products mixed nuts. According to CBS Boston, the products are:

  • Nature’s Place Roasted Unsalted Mixed Nuts
  • Nature’s Place Cranberry Mix

The mixed nut products are in 9-ounce and 9.5-ounce packages. The item numbers are 725439 94507 and 725439 94563.

News broke earlier this week that Aurora Products learned of a positive test of salmonella in walnuts that are contained in their products. Stop & Shop Supermarkets had many more products that were affected by this.

Hannaford Supermarkets says that no illnesses have been reported in connection with this recall

Symptoms of Salmonella include diarrhea, abdominal cramps, and fever within eight to 72 hours. Additional symptoms are chills, headache, nausea and vomiting that can last up for a week.

Customers are advised to discard these products and bring the sales slip to any store to receive a full refund
