Being born without hands or most of his legs hasn't kept Landis Sims down.

Now, the 10 year-old boy from Elizabeth, Indiana lived out his dream by a signing a special one day contract with the New York Yankees.

Sims plays in Little League, wearing the Number 2 to honor is all-time favorite, Derek Jeter. To play second base, Sims uses a soccer shinguard that has been put into his baseball glove. According to ESPN Go, he can even go to bat with the help of a prosthetic that allows him to cup the bat.

Sims first met Yankees manager Joe Girardi two years ago. Girardi liked the boy so much, that he, along with Yankees communications director Jazon Zillo and Assistant General Manager Jean Afterman, came up with the idea of the contract.

It was certainly a special day on Monday for Landis Sims, as he got to take batting practice with his heroes before their spring training game against the Houston Astros.
