Opening Day for the New York Yankees is this Monday and not surprisingly, Masahiro Tanaka will be the on the mound. This marks the second year in a row that the right-hander will start Opening Day for the Bronx Bombers.

Manager Joe Girardi made the announcement during an on-air interview with the YES Network. Many suspected Tanaka would the man to start in spite of some poor showings this spring.

In 2015, Tanaka started twenty four games: finishing with a 12-7 record and a 3.51 ERA.

The Yankees face the Houston Astros at Yankee Stadium, April 4. First pitch will be at 1:05 p.m.
