AC DC, VH, and The Doors are on the schedule for this week's edition of the WPDH Soundcheck.  Sunday night at 10pm on 101.5 WPDH and streaming on the WPDH app.

Former AC DC drummer Chris Slade recalls to Metalhead Zone in a recent interview that when the band auditioned Slade for the job back when they were ready to record the album "Razor's Edge" they had no idea how experienced he was.  Slade in the past performed with The Count Basie Orchestra and singer Tom Jones back in the 60's.  Slade has also recorded and performed with The Firm, Asia. and Manfred Mann's Earth Band.

Van Halen's performance was taken at the Tokyo Dome and recorded on June 21st, 2013.  It was only the 2nd Van Halen live album released, the previous one "Right Here, Right Now" released in 1993 that featured Sammy Hagar on lead vocal.  This one features David Lee Roth on vocal, but Wolfgang Van Halen on bass and not Michael Anthony.
