The listeners of 101.5 WPDH received a Top Fundraiser Award for their dedication to raising money to help children.

The Boris and Robyn Show's Battle of the Stands is a yearly event that supports Alex's Lemonade Stand. The charity, started by a young girl named Alex who was diagnosed with cancer, helps families and kids who are fighting childhood cancer.

"Team Boris" and "Team Robyn" recruit listeners and local businesses to help them collect the most donations. The final battle takes place each year at the Dutchess County Fair, where both teams set up dueling lemonade stands to see who winds up with the biggest grand total.

The Battle of the Stands has raised over $30,000 so far, and continues to bring in even more donations with the assistance of the WPDH listeners. That money has gone to help fund cancer research projects and help families travel to get to potentially lifesaving treatment through Alex's Lemonade Stand's Travel For Care program.

This year Team Boris and Team Robyn are uniting to form Team Kelsey in honor of Kelsey Berger, a first grader from Wappingers Falls who sadly lost her battle with cancer this year. The Boris and Robyn show hopes her strength inspires others who are battling childhood cancer.

If you would like to join Team Kelsey and participate in this year's battle, please contact boris@wpdh.com so we can let the WPDH listeners know how they can help you out in your support of this incredible charity.
