WPDH Halloween Pet Costume Contest Winners

Over 70 pets arrived at Petco in Poughkeepsie last Saturday for the WPDH Halloween Pet Parade. The pets came dressed as bumblebees and Batmans, baseball players and dragons, and everything in between.

This week, WPDH listeners got to decide which of the pets how the best costume in the Hudson Valley. Voters were allowed to cast their ballot once per day per IP address. The voting was fierce, with several ambitious pet owners launching a social media campaign on behalf of their furry friends.

Over 1,600 votes were cast and Gidget the cowgirl came out on top with 397 votes. Her owner has won a 40-inch television, as a result.

Coming in second with 245 votes was Brooke, who came dressed as a unicorn. Brooke's humans have won a gift basket and certificate to Pet N Play Resort values at $100.

The third place winner with 175 votes was Lily the WPDH booze hound. Beth will receive some serious pampering at Petco with a grooming service valued at $75.
