Released in 1975 on MCA Records, the album Nuthin' Fancy was the band's third release and their first to reach the top 10. The album was certified Gold in 1975 and Platinum in 1987 by the RIAA. It was also their first album with new drummer Artimus Pyle and last with guitarist Ed King until the Lynyrd Skynyrd 1991 album.
