Brain Salad Surgery is the fourth studio album from progressive rock band Emerson, Lake & Palmer. It was released on Manticore Records in 1973 ( a division of Atlantic Records.) The album features the rock radio hit, "Karn Evil 9: First Impression, Pt. 2". Brain Salad Surgery is one of Emerson, Lake & Palmer's most successful releases, fusing rock with classical themes. I recall seeing Emerson, Lake & Palmer in concert, playing to a full house at The Chance in Poughkeepsie in summer of 1998. It was an incredible show.
