Tune in for the WPDH Album of the Week this Sunday at 11PM. We'll be bringing you David Bowie 'Young Americans' in its entirety, start to finish.

David Bowie's ninth studio album Young Americans was released in March of 1975 on RCA Records and featured a departure from Bowie's glam rock style, in favor for African American soul and R&B music. The album was a very successful in the U.S. reaching the top 10. The song "Fame" reached number 1 on the Billboard charts. Rolling Stone Magazine writer Jon Landau praised the title track and went on to say "the rest of the album works best when Bowie combines his renewed interest in soul with his knowledge of English pop, rather than opting entirely for one or the other."
