Released in 1975 on Columbia Records, Born to Run is the third studio album from Bruce Springsteen. The album was his first album to break into the mainstream and it was a commercial success. It peaked at number three on the Billboard 200 and went on to sell 6 million copies in the U.S. alone. Two singles were released from the album: "Born to Run" and "Thenth Avenue Freeze-Out". The tracks "Thunder Road" and "Jungleland" became rock radio staples. The album received rave reviews from critics including Rolling Stone magazine.
