WPDH Album of the Week: Bob Seger ‘Stranger in Town’

Released by Capitol Records in May of 1978, Stranger in Town is the tenth studio album from Bob Seger and his second with the Silver Bullet Band. The album also features the backing band the Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section on some of the songs. The album was an instant success in the U.S. going platinum less than a month after it's release. It eventually went 6 times platinum with singles "Still the Same", "Hollywood Nights" and "Old Time Rock and Roll". It was also the first album from Seger to chart in the U.K.
