The staff at Woodstock Harley-Davidson sped into 2016 with several custom motorcycle builds that have put them in the national spotlight.

The Hudson Valley motorcycle dealer built the prize bike for the 2016 Official Motorcycle of Bike Week in Daytona Beach, Fla. The 2006 Harley-Davidson Softail Springer Classic build features Polished Ride Wright Omega 40-spoke wheels, Biker’s Choice Hollywood handlebars and mirrors, Vance & Hines true dual exhaust system, and over $3,000 of new Harley-Davidson components. The drawing will take place at Daytona Beach on Saturday, March 12.

Daytona isn't the only spot where Woodstock Harley-Davidson hopes to leave bike enthusiasts slack-jawed over their custom build prowess.

"We've done a lot of builds this month," said Joi Becker, marketing manager for Woodstock Harley-Davidson. "We generally do on or two a year. We've done three this month."

The other two builds -- a 2016 XL883N Sportster 883 Iron and a Street Glide outfitted with a 110-inch Tire Shredder engine kit -- will be unveiled at an event at the dealership on Saturday starting at 10AM.

The 2016 XL883N Sportster 883 Iron build is Woodstock Harley-Davidson's entry into the national Harley Custom Kings competition. Harley-Davidson District Manager Mike Moore will be on hand to reveal Woodstock's Sportster design, which will go on to compete with bikes from 150 dealerships in the country. Consumers will have a chance to vote over social media on the design that showcases a local Harley dealer's expertise and ingenuity in custom builds.

In addition, American Iron Magazine will be on hand Saturday to photograph the Street Glide 110-inch build, and one customer will be selected to participate in the photo-op.
