When you win $188 million dollars then we guess you can spend it pretty much any way you chose. A North Carolina woman named Marie Holmes won the Powerball jackpot worth $188 million last March. Holmes took home $88 million after taxes when she decided to take the lump sum. So how is she spending that money you ask?

Well, a lot of it seems to be going bailing her fiance out of jail.

The fiance, Lamar "Hot Sauce" McDow, stands accused of trafficking and intending to sell heroin. The NY Daily News reports via WWAY that McDow was released from a Brunswick County (NC) jail last week on $6 million bail. He has been arrested again in July for violating the curfew requirements put in place after his release. While bondsmen are not obliged to release names of who posted an inmate’s bail, Holmes likely footed the bill. Prosecutors said she bailed him out of jail once before, paying $3 million in March just weeks after she won the lottery, WWAY reported.

Hot Sauce McDow, reportedly has a long criminal history including assault and drug possession convictions. He was arrested in November following a yearlong investigation into drug trafficking.. He was charged with trafficking heroin and possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver heroin, says the NY Daily News.

Holmes, who had said she would spend her money on her kids and her church, defended her actions on WWAY's Facebook page

What Y’all need to be worried about is Y’all money and not how I spend mine this is benefitting Y’all how? And no he’s no drug dealer or user but who are Y’all to judge anybody? I will definitely pray for Y’all because it’s much need…they talked about Jesus so I’m not surprised Y’all are talking about me but be blessed though.

McDow is still currently awaiting trial.
