The woman was attempting to push her vehicle, when it rolled forward, pinning her underneath.

On Saturday, at approximately 1:28 a.m. the Town of New Windsor Police responded to a report of a female trapped underneath a vehicle in the area of Lake Road and Dutchman Drive.

Upon arrival, officers located a 20-year old female alert, conscious, and pinned to the ground by the front bumper of a 2014 Nissan Juke.

The vehicle had rolled forward onto the female as she was trying to push it from the sloping shoulder of the roadway.

Officers were able to pull the vehicle back up the embankment using a rope and the police Tahoe and freed the woman from underneath.

The woman was treated before being airlifted by Lifenet Air 2.

Motorist are reminded to be careful on the side of road, especially with slippery conditions and when attempting to free vehicles stuck in the snow.
