A woman formerly from Wappingers Falls was killed in a tragic accident in New York on Sunday. What a bystander was caught doing just seconds later, however, has set the Internet on fire.

Thirty-year-old Victoria Nicodemus, who the Poughkeepsie Journal has identified as a native of Wappingers Falls, was struck and killed in Brooklyn on Sunday by an SUV. The driver of the car did not have a license and claims that in an attempt to avoid hitting another vehicle, they lost control and jumped the curb.

Surveilance video of the accident posted by Gawker shows an innocent bystander with a slice of pizza in her hand casually glancing back at the terrible accident and then slowly walking away. In an even more cold-blooded move, the unidentified woman in the video pauses to take a bite of the pizza, apparently not really caring that someone lay dying just a few yards away.

Many on social media are criticizing the woman in the video, shocked that anyone could be so callous as to not even offer to help or assist in the situation. Others have been more restrained in their judgement, thinking that she may have been unaware of the details of the tragedy that unfolded behind her.

What do you think? Are you appalled by this woman's behavior or do you think she may have a good explanation for taking bite of pizza while walking away?
