Well, we knew this unseasonably warm weather wouldn't last. Sadly, "Winter is coming!" The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for the Hudson Valley.

A wintry mix is expected to hit the Hudson Valley late Monday night and into Tuesday morning. A winter weather advisory is in effect from 8PM Monday to 11AM Tuesday for Orange, Putnam, Rockland, and northern Westchester counties. Dutchess and Ulster counties are under a winter weather advisory from 7PM Monday to 7AM Tuesday.

Monday there is a strong of chance of snow and sleet between 8PM and midnight, which will then turn into freezing rain and sleet Between 1 to four inches of snow is possible.  Early Tuesday is expected to bring freezing rain that will turn into all rain after 11AM.

The National Weather Service warns that roadways and sidewalks will be slippery. With a greater chance of danger in higher elevations. Snow, sleet, or freezing rain will make traveling difficult. Be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibility.
