The Wings of Freedom tour will visit 110 cities in 2015, this past weekend their latest stop was the Dutchess County Airport in Wappingers Falls.

The tour features 3 World War II era planes, a B-17 Flying Fortress, a B-24 Liberator and a P-51 C Mustang. These planes are extremely rare and in some cases are the only working examples remaining in the world.

While the event was $12 to get in, it was free to tour the planes once inside the event. If you wanted to go for a ride in any of the planes, that's where things got a little more expensive, a 30 minute flight aboard the B-17 or B-24 was a cool $450. But flying in the P-51C was $2,200 for a half hour. While these prices may seem a little steep, it's extremely expensive to keep these planes operational.

The Collings Foundation which runs the events, is non-profit and dedicated to sharing these amazing planes with future generations.
