A road closure on I-287 yesterday caused quite the headache for travelers and commuters in New Jersey. What was the big tie up all about? Both directions of the highway were closed between Exit 39 in Hanover Township and Exit 43 in Parsippany-Troy Hills Township due to a police investigation. Seems a suspicious package was found unattended near the town of Boonton. The State Police Arson and Bomb Squad were called in to aide the investigation. So what was in the package that caused the big detours and delay?

Investigators say the package was just a piece of soft cased luggage filled with stuffed animals and some garbage.

Well, better safe than sorry. Not sure if motorists stuck in the jam would quite share the sentiment.
