An award winning sportscaster is coming to speak in the Hudson Valley. Here are all the details so you don’t miss out.

On Tuesday, Ian Eagle is coming to Marist College. The CBS Sports and YES Network play-by-play announcer will discuss his distinguished career in the world of sports broadcasting, current landscape of sports and answer questions from the audience.

Eagle can be heard each Sunday during the NFL season broadcasting for CBS. He also covers the US Open Tennis Championships and NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament games for CBS.

For the past 22 years, Eagle has served as the Brooklyn (formally New Jersey) Nets TV play-by-play announcer. He has also called a number of NBA playoff games for TNT.

The Syracuse graduate won the New York Sports Emmys for Outstanding Play-by-Play announcer in 2013 and 2015. In 2002, Eagle won a New York Sports Emmy for his broadcast of the Nets-Indiana Pacers Game 5 playoff meeting. He was named the New York Sportscaster of the Year by the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association in 2013 and 2014.

The free event will take place at 7 p.m. on the Marist campus at the Nelly Goletti Theater. All are welcome to attend.
