You may have noticed some tiny houses popping up in the strangest places this week.

The houses have been spied in parking lots of local businesses in Ulster, Orange and Dutchess Counties. These little structures aren't there for people to live in, but for another good reason.

Tiny house madness is sweeping the nation. Television is full of shows that document homeowners who've decided to ditch their traditional homes for tiny living. There's even a Tiny House festival that travels through the country showing off these miniature domains.

Starting on Tuesday, the Boris & Robyn Show will be broadcasting live from these different tiny houses scattered throughout the area. Each day, listeners can come and tour the tiny house and enter to win vacation in their own tiny home that will be given away each morning.

Here's the schedule:

  • Tuesday, June 27: Flory's Mobil on Route 9 in Fishkill
  • Wednesday, June 28: Romeo Chevrolet on Ulster Avenue in Lake Katrine
  • Thursday, June 29: Foam & Wash near the five corners in Vails Gate
  • Friday, June 30: Foam & Wash near the five corners in Vails Gate

In addition, those who show up can also win tickets to the Tiny House and Green Living Freedom Festival in New Paltz on the weekend of June 30. The morning show will also be raising funds for Alex's Lemonade Stand to help kids suffering from childhood cancer.

Here's a peek inside the tiny house you can win a three-day stay at:
