Yeah, we don't need to remind you it's been bad this year for the Mets.

The Mets lost again Wednesday night at home to Milwaukee. But the actions of their famous, big-headed mascot is what's got everyone talking. ESPN says that while Mr. Met was walking down a tunnel, the mascot apparently gave someone in the crowd the bird.

As of now, it's unclear who the mascot flipped off and why. Needless to say, the organization is not happy.

The team said in a statement on Twitter:

We apologize for the inappropriate action of this employee. We do not condone this type of behavior. We are dealing with this matter internally.

The team says more than one person is under the costume from one night to the other. Whoever was Mr. Met Wednesday probably won't be wearing the outfit ever agin.

Wonder what the fan said or did to draw such a reaction? Maybe the Mr. Met is just frustrated with how the team has played laylety?

Maybe the opinionated fan was WPDH Saturday afternoon jock, and well known Brewer fanatic, Jack George?
