Donald Trump's surprise victory was also evident in votes cast in the Hudson Valley.

Early Wednesday morning Hillary Clinton conceded to President Elect Donald Trump in an election that will go down in the history books. Pollsters and pundants were convinced that Trump had no chance of winning but he proved them and everyone else wrong by surging in the early morning hours to secure enough electoral votes to win.

New York State went to Hillary Clinton as everyone predicted, with the former Secretary of State gaining 58% of the vote. The Hudson Valley, however, is clearly Trump country.

Dutchess County voters cast their ballots for Trump, with the former businessman winning 47% of the electorate over Hillary Clinton who received 43%

In Orange County Trump received nearly 50% of the vote while Clinton got just over 43%.

Sullivan County leaned heavily for Trump with 54% of the vote easily beating Clinton's 40%

The only county in the Hudson Valley that turned blue was Ulster County. Only 159 of 163 precincts have reported as of this morning, but Clinton is clearly ahead with 50% of the vote over Trump's 41%.

You can see the final results from each New York county on the NYS Board of Elections website.
