With Memorial Day weekend upon us, we've found the cheapest places to fill your gas tank in the Hudson Valley.

Gas prices continue to be on the rise in the Mid Hudson Region. Some gas stations, however, are still offering fuel at a low price. If you're planning a getaway this holiday weekend you'll want to check prices before you fill up that tank.

Most gas stations are offering regular gas for over $3 a gallon, but we'searched gasbuddy.com to locate the Hudson Valley gas stations offering the deepest discounts.

In Orange County we found gas for as low as $2.84 at Sam's Club in Middletown. If you're not a club member, the nearby Valero on Carpenter Avenue and Quick Chek on Route 211 both have gas listed for $2.89. The Gulf on Windsor Highway in Vails Gate is listed as selling regular for just $2.85 a gallon.

In Dutchess County the cheapest gas is currently being reported at the Citgo on Route 9 in Hyde Park at $2.89. The Citgo on Route 52 in Fishkill, the Gulf on Route 9 In Wappingers and the Citgo on Route 9D in Wappingers are all selling gas for $2.93 a gallon. Fuel 55 on Route 55 is priced at $2.94. You can find gas for $2.95 at the BP in Pleasant Valley, Valero on Route 55 in Lagrangeville, the Sunoco on Noxon Rd in Poughkeepsie and Shell on Vassar Rd.

Ulster County's cheapest reported price is $2.84 at the Gulf on Broadway in Port Ewen. You can also fill up for a deal at Britt & Graff on Cornell St. in Kingston, Gulf on 9W in Saugerties and the Mobil on Ulster Avenue in Kingston. They're all offering gas at $2.85 a gallon.

Experts suggest taking advantage of gas points at grocery stores and big box stores for even more savings. You can check gasbuddy for the cheapest prices in real time.
